The fourth step of the application process consists of a list of questions prepared by the employer. There is a recording interface for each question.
Test Your Camera and Microphone
Before the interview starts, candidates can check their setup in the Audio & Video Test. Click Test your camera & mic and record a short test. The test recording is not saved or shared.
When you are ready, click Begin Interview.
Time Limits and Retakes
Candidates should answer one question per video. Each question has a time limit set by the employer. It is shown above the player as Time limit.
A video is available for recording only if answers to all preceding questions are recorded. To go back to a previous question, a candidate should click on it in the list or click Back.
The employer decides whether candidates can retake their videos:
Retakes allowed — candidates can watch and redo any recorded video until a completed application is submitted.
One attempt — candidates see the message "You have one attempt to record your response". Each question can be recorded only once.
Note: If only one attempt is allowed, make sure your camera and microphone work before you start. If a recording fails, the attempt is still used.
How to Make a Record
Note: Browser permission to use a camera and microphone is required to make a record.
To record a video answer, candidates should:
Click Start Recording.
The recording starts after a 3-second countdown.
The blinking red light signals that the recording is on. The progress bar shows how much time is left.
Click Stop Recording.
To view the recording, click Play.
To redo the recording, click Retake in the top-right corner of the player (if retakes are allowed).
Click Next Question.
Once the recording is saved, a green tick appears next to the question.
After the last question, click Complete and Submit.
If the Camera Doesn't Work
"Please allow using your camera and microphone to continue" — allow camera and microphone access in your browser settings.
"Please check the microphone, we can't hear you" — check that your microphone is connected and not muted.
